Windows media centre is slow on xbox

Also what are the specs of the computer you are using to run media center?? When I use my desktop, and a wired connection xbox wmc works fine.

Why would a network problem cause menu actions to have a 7 second delay? For instance if I hold the mouse near a scroll bar nothing happens and then when it does work it responds with a jerky motion. I checked and my graphics and video cards are compatible and have the latest drivers. I have tried to restore to a point just after the inital upgrade but the system will not let me.
