Worn on the left sleeve under troop numerals. Where does the scout patrol badge go? You can wear these badges in the space on the right shoulder and are generally only worn for up to 1 year after the event occurred. Each Scout belongs to a patrol and should have a patrol badge; this is positioned at the top of the wearer's right arm as show in the image on the left.

Is assistant patrol leader a leadership position? The position of Assistant Patrol Leader does not qualify for the leadership requirements for advancement. Adjust them as necessary to meet the needs of your troop. What does NYLT stand for? National Youth Leadership Training. What does NYLT mean? National Youth Leadership Training training. What was Hitler's first aggression? These indicate the branch of Scouting your currently in.

Shoulder Loops slide easily on the Shoulder Strap. There are 5 different colored Shoulder Loops to represent the different programs and positions you can hold in the BSA! You may be in multiple programs and have multiple uniforms and Shoulder Loops.

These patches are worn directly on the right pocket flap and are the only approved patch to be worn in this location. The right pocket placement is also known as the temporary patch location. Scouts can wear any Scouting patch of their choice here! Only one temporary patch can be worn at time.

Patches that contain a button loop are hung from the right pocket button behind the pocket flap. Some examples of patch worn here are Camporee patches, Summer Camp patches, or custom troop patch! Check out our Custom Troop Patches. This spot of reserved for the Recruiter Patch. Recruiter Patches are given to Scouts that bring another person to join Scouting! The patch is worn centered directly below the right pocket.

The World Crest is displayed above the left pocket. The World Crest should be centered between the left shoulder seam and the top of the left pocket.

Adults may also wear knots signifying awards earned. In particular, any patches on the bottom front, sides or back of the uniform should be removed. Some Scouts buy or make a red felt vest which they can wear to show off other patches. Previously held Badges of Rank or Badges of Office should not be worn on this vest or anywhere else. These pictures show a short sleeve Scout shirt. When sewing patches to a long sleeve shirt estimate where the cuffs would be on a short sleeve shirt and place the patches accordingly.

Notes: Right Sleeve A. As of January none of our Patrols currently use emblems, but if they adopt them this is where they will go.
